A package design inspired by its content!
The box is opened by pulling apart the two sides of the box, much the same way as a pistachio nut is opened. The simple, clean design is appealing on the shelf. Repetition of the content in the packaging can also be seen in the colouring, the inner part of the box is pistache green while the outside is the light brown natural corrugated colour. The product is visible through a small cut out on the front, which adds to the consumer appeal.
A convenient feature is once the nuts have been cracked and eaten the box can be used to hold the empty shells.
The packaging won a World Food Innovation Award 2018 in the “Best Packaging Design” category.
