Stroller’s corrugated packaging has existential crisis

Joolz Bird HouseRemember our article on Bin Xu’s chair where the corrugated packaging and chair were one and the same?  (See: Supermarket inspiration creates new life for boxes)  Well, we’ve found a similar and equally clever design.

A Dutch manufacturer of strollers has designed a way for customers to re-purpose their corrugated packaging and extend its use beyond product protection.  Using the corrugated material and instructions printed on the box, customers can create a birdhouse, a child’s chair or a lamp.  When these items have outlived that purpose, they can be returned to the recycling stream and will again be reincarnated as something new!
