Caine’s Cardboard Arcade

If Caine’s arcade means nothing to you then you really have to see the movie below.  It is about a 9 year old boy in East LA who built a variety of games entirely from cardboard boxes and his struggle to get customers, until…

The film shows that imagination, creativity and entrepreneurship that children have, and has taken many of us back to our childhoods when we built a variety of contraptions from leftover boxes.  My favourite childhood creation was a fort I made from boxes in the living room, it was huge, or at least appeared to be.  It’s easy to forget that corrugated is all around us and that it’s not always just for packaging. It can also a great building material for kids!

We’d love to hear what you made from corrugated as a child and how it freed your creativity, so please leave a comment.
